Is anyone else disturbed at the number of yogurt brands being introduced today that are marketed toward your bowel movements? Dannon's Activia® brand goes so far as to create the trademarked term "BIFIDUS REGULARIS." Give me a break.
I'm just not sure how "regular" it is, however, to poop out your belly button as the Dannon image seems to suggest.

I thought the diagram meant I was supposed to consume the yogurt VIA my belly button...
If poop came out there, I would be very worried!
totally agree. i purposely don't buy the stuff just cuz I find the commericials disturbing. I know women talk about a lot of personal stuff when they're alone, but I don't think I've ever randomly brought up 'irregularity' to a girlfriend like the ads suggest. weird. WEIRD!!!!! glad to know i'm not alone.
I didn't know females talked about these things too! Oh, if I had a dime for every time el Shumbo and I sat around, drinking our International Coffees and talking about irregularities, spots of dishes, and embarrassing odors I'd have a meellion bucks.
I find all of this bowel talk uncomfortable. Seriously. Who discusses that stuff with random people? Well other than my MIL I mean.
As long as they don't quit showing the IBS commercial with all the people lifting up their shirts to show their bellies. Because the kids love that one.
This is the first time I've seen this - Ugh!! I love yogart - but I don't need to hear all the "crap" it's good for or does for ya!!! Just make it yummy and pink and throw in some granola if you want - I'll buy it.
Nice to see you today - hope to see you again soon. Kellan
I thought that was just lint!
I just heard--
Why does daddy have a friend named big doofus?
:0)
Tell her the truth: Daddy doesn't have any friends. :)
Neither do I except him.
When all of my grandparents got old, they invariably became concerned, greatly concerned with their bowel movements. To the point where it became a common topic of conversation, at least to their minds.
TMI, you know?
I guess the active cultures in yogurt and whatnot is just a marketing ploy, but it still makes me uncomfortable to see, just as I was as a teen when my grandparents would loudly proclaim their disappointing "BM" on any given day.
For some reason, the phrase "disappointing BM" from your last comment gave me the giggles and I can hardly write this for shaking with mirth. Disappointing BMs!!!! Great stuff!
LOL.
But the Yoplait version DOES taste good.
