I Know This Is Wrong, But...

...it's funny. There was a story in today's Indianapolis Star about some local pranksters that hacked the electronic construction signs you see along the highway. Locally, someone made them say"Raptors Ahead." I guess that's enough to slow you down, right?

Even better,

“NAZI ZOMBIES! RUN!!!” and “ZOMBIES IN AREA! RUN” in Austin, Texas.

And,

“DAILY LANE CLOSURES DUE TO ZOMBIES” near St. Louis.

My brother thinks zombies are awesome. He might be right.

Well, once you had a blog with a huge following like Boing-Boing spreading the news about how hackable those sign are, and then even more bloggers with slightly smaller followings spreading the word, well, we're going to be seeing a lot of this. I can't really think that I've ever been in mortal need of the information on one of those signs...

Yeah, I think this starting in Austin, and has been spreading since the Boing-Boing post.

Zombies are the cool. They can't print money, or raise your taxes.

Can they?

Steve, don't give them ideas.
