Well, I'm back from Las Vegas. I flew in Sunday morning and arrived home Saturday evening. It was a LONG week. Business takes me to Vegas at least once a year and sometimes as many as three times a year. Often I am there for long stretches at a time, which is great for a high roller like me. I stay at one of the more popular hotels--the La Quinta. Can you pick up on my sarcasm? Honestly, Las Vegas is a city I could do without. But it's necessary evil for me...and it's also a good town for a convention (i.e. in that it's easy to get around and easy to host trade shows, etc.).
There is one thing that I really like about this kind of business travel--FOOD. The last night we were there we practically closed a sushi bar. I'm also a fan of a local Vietnamese place that I managed to visit three times. Amazingly, I think some of the best food is not the most expensive or touristy places in town.
This hasn't been a strong post. I'm going to try harder tomorrow, but it's good to get back at it. I'll spend some time catching up on your blogs.

Welcome home, Doofus.
I love Vegas in the right quantities, and with the right food.
I've never done Vietnamese, but with you eating it three times in one week, you've more than made up for me.
Welcome back! Been missing your sense of humor!! LOL
I'm glad your back...I missed my daily dose of Doofus! Your humor is infectious. The part where you closed down the sushi bar was too much! Very funny. Glad your back!
Your wife missed you. No one else did though. Just her.
just kidding... ;)
I hope you didn't gamble away yet another child. Seriously, get some help.

It's funny. Now that I think about it, I don't think I ever heard from the wife while I was away.
I've never been there. It's probably my least desired vacation destination with Calcutta.
But, if business calls, well, you have to suffer through a few nights at the world famous Las Vegas La Quitna Hotel/Casino/Mini-golf.
The only casino I've ever actually wanted to go to was the one in "Vegas Vacation" where Randy Quaid's character took Chevy Chase's character to a casino that had games like, scissors-paper-rock, guess a number between one and ten, and other cool games like that.
Tuna calls to you from the deep... "We need vocals.... we need vocals and sweet sweet geetar..."
Where's the "try harder tomorrow" post? Just sayin.
Glad your back Doofus. Didn't mean to upset you about Josh Hamilton while you were gone. I hear Volquez is working out OK for the Reds.
My wife has been to Vegas twice on business without me. She said I need to go at least once.
