Whenever anything in our house turns up missing, the first thing that we do, if at all possible, is ASK IZZI. Izzi is our youngest. It's not that she's the one who loses things and we're blaming her. She has this amazing ability to categorize where things are in her mind. Even if she doesn't immediately know where it is, she puts it in her cute little brain somewhere and, in many cases, finds whatever it is that we're looking for later. She's located missing school work, keys, glasses (not the kind you drink out of), remote controls, books, you name it.
So, I thought I'd open this up to anyone who reads my blog. If you've lost something (but not "That Lovin' Feelin'"), just ASK IZZI. I'll forward the request on to her and I'll give you her advice.
How can you resist?

I LOVE that picture of her! Without her, we'd be wandering through life, searching futilely for our lost items! This is just one reason she is invaluable. (She also rubs our feet and waits on us when we're sick and tells us how wonderful we are and...well, I'm very thankful for Izzi!)
I have lost, spent three literal hours looking for, and finally paid for the DVD of Gus from the library. You know, the Disney movie with Don Knotts and Gus, that talking mule. We didn't even watch the durn thing! Izzi, any ideas?
uvulapie - Izzi wants to know the last place you watched it.
Izzi,
Where is my ladybug cd case?
Melynda
Izzi's reply to Melynda:
"Look under your bed!"
That is a beautiful photo and a beautiful girl!! I also love that she is the one that finds all the lost stuff in your home - what an amazing gift - really! I don't lose many things - except my mind every so often - but my son is forever losing his stuff. Ask Izzi where she thinks he might have misplaced his MP3 player - it's been missing for a couple of days.
kellan - I know this sounds like a broken record, but Izzi says, "Did you ask her where the last place was that he had it?"
She's so good at this. I'll bet you that's where it is!!! She has such a special gift and now she gets to share it with the rest of the world.
I will do that, Izzy - you are probably right and that will be exactly where he left it. Thank you very much. Hope you had fun this weekend and have a good week. See you soon. Kellan
Izzi - we didn't watch it but the DVD was in the basement, on the floor, mere feet from the DVD player. And then the kids helped with cleaning up for Thanksgiving. And I may have decided to put it somewhere where it wouldn't get lost. Does it matter than Don Knotts was a guest at our Thanksgiving meal?
So, Izzi, I'm supposed to sign my contract for next year (if I want to get paid, I guess). However, there are so many papers on my desk, I don't know where the contract is.
Any thoughts on how to find one paper out of hudnreds?
Izzi,
Where is Daddy's bike RIGHT NOW?
Uvulapie - Izzi says to look around the tv in your basement and that it doesn't matter that Don Knotts was at your Thanksgiving dinner.
Scott - Izzi says that you just have to sort through all of them (how thorough of her).
Melynda - Izzi says, "Goodwill, unless you bought it." I say...that was low, woman...very low.
LOL! ;0)
Aw, how cute is she in that picture? Love it. And I can vouge, folks. Miss Izzy is a doll.
Blessings,
~Toni~
